About me
My background and philosophy
15 years of experience
I’ve been an admissions consultant for 15 years, with two of the top MBA admissions consulting firms and my own consultancy. I am a full-time MBA graduate of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where I was a member of the MBA admissions committee. I earned a sizable merit scholarship, concentrated in marketing and strategy as an MBA student, and competed as the only grad student member of the UM collegiate women’s synchronized skating team (placing 4th nationally in 2008). I’m active with the UM Ross School of Business alumni association (Denver chapter), and was the founding VP of Marketing / Digital with the UM / Ross Women in Business Alumni Association.
Over the years, I’ve consulted with hundreds of MBA clients, guiding them to coveted admissions across a spectrum of schools, including the most selective MBA programs. I help demystify the admissions process, enable you to communicate your experiences effectively, and act as a sounding board from end-to-end.
I view the admissions process as the ultimate marketing exercise, where candidates are vying for positions at very selective programs, and must effectively position their candidacies and message their experiences and perspectives to “sell” themselves and their potential contributions to target programs. This process comes more naturally to some than others, and that’s OK!
Career counseling is a natural extension of the MBA admissions consulting process. It’s OK to stretch yourself (within reason) as part of the MBA process and set ambitious goals for the long-term. I help clients level-set on where they are and where they want to be, post-MBA. Then, we can develop the most effective admissions strategy and applications.
